Parkour workshop at Newcastle High School

As part of Wellbeing day at Newcastle High on Friday 19th May, we ran 6 x 30minute workshops introducing students to parkour. During the day we taught, speed vaults, precision jumps and rail balancing.

It was great to see the students involved and learning new skills.

If you are interested in holding a workshop for your school, business or club please feel free to get in contact.

Inaugural parkour classes

On the 23rd of April 2017 Newcastle Parkour held its inaugural parkour classes at The Movement Collective!

We had a good turn out for kids and adults. Based on the participant feedback everyone learnt a lot and had a great time.

We would like to thank everyone who turned up and hope you enjoyed it enough to come back!

Also thank you to our instructors John and Elijah for your help!

If you are keen to book in for class please check out our classes page

Here are some photos from the day

Newcastle Parkour Park?

As part of the next stage of the Bathers Way project, South Newcastle Beach is being redeveloped to in a new skate park, kiosk, fitness and parkour equipment.

Based on the concept artwork it looks like there will be pull up bars and benches, perfect for your calisthenic workout. If done right it could rival the famous Bondi Beach outdoor gym

In terms of dedicated parkour equipment the concept artwork is a bit scant however Newcastle Parkour has contacted the council for more information. It would be awesome if the local parkour community could have input into its design! In any case the space looks really interesting and it will be a great new place to train.

For more info checkout the concept video and council news article.
